The Board of Directors of the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association ("GRECAA, Inc."), the voluntary bar association of Georgia's residential closing attorneys, met on August 8, 2007 to discuss the recent closing of several lenders, including one of Atlanta's largest. The Board is recommending to its members that, effective immediately, they accept only wired funds or certified checks (or the equivalent) from all funding lenders or other attorneys transferring seller's proceeds from one closing to another.
